On March 10th, Cupertino High School hosted its annual Tino Gives Rally. Throughout the week, students raised money corresponding to their class-assigned organizations: Second Harvest Food Bank (2020), American Red Cross (2019), Operation Smile (2018) and American Heart Association (2017). At the rally, teachers faced challenges such as Canadian Nationalism, fencing against world champion Geoffery Tourette, and singing “You’re Welcome”. Following teacher challenges were performances by the CHS Cheer team and CHS Dance team Golden Spurs, and the classes competed in a “sing along” competition. As the rally came to a close, it was announced that this year’s Tino Gives was a huge success, with 2020 raising $216.07, 2019 raising $236.92, 2018 raising $291.98 and 2017 raising $271.32, totalling to $1016.29. CHS had the opportunity to give back to the community, and in turn, received an extraordinary experience.
