1. Exercise more

Although exercising may be one of the last activities you would imagine doing when your iPhone is waiting for you to use it after you wake up. and your laptop rests near it calling at you to continue binge watching the Netflix show that everyone cannot stop talking about. After you get passed these temptations you might realize that exercising is an activity that reduces stress and boosts productivity. During the summer, you will undoubtedly have more freetime, meaning you can craft the perfect workout schedule for yourself.

2. Spend more time with your parents

If your parents work, it is unlikely that they have the summer off , but that does not mean that you cannot spend more time with them. All the evenings you have spent studying, cramming, or finishing homework will now be free, and are times that you can spend with your parents. Take them out to dinner  at favorite restaurant. Travel to nearby tourist spots such as Santa Cruz or San Francisco. Push yourself to wake up early one day so you can make them breakfast. Or have long conversations with them that are not interrupted by electronic devices or lingering text messages. If your conversations largely consisted of discussing grades and assignments during the school year, this is a good time to have heartfelt and deep conversations with them.

3. Go stargazing at night

Tired of spending nearly every night finishing your homework and cramming for that huge test the following morning and wondering when you will ever get a break? During summer, your late nights need not consist of late night studying. Stargazing is not only a stress-reliever, but is completely free of cost and can give you a new perspective on life.

4. Go fishing

You do not have to be a non-vegetarian to fish! Fishing is a activity that will allow you to immerse yourself in nature in a unique and self-fulfilling way. Fishing is also relaxing and peaceful. For the non-vegetarians,  going to the supermarket or local store to purchase fish may be the most convenient; however, during summer, with more time on your hands, fishing is an activity that is a must-do for your personal satisfaction and leisure.
